Kew boys run

19th March 2017

A Bizarre tribute to growing up as a child in Kew has become a surprise hit on Spotify and iTunes.

Performed by local band The Fine and sung by lead vocalist and former Kew boy Scott Singleton, the ballad is an ode to growing up in the Southport ward and trying to make the best of the situation during the 70s and 80s.

In fact the song goes on to laud the times spent drinking thunderbird in a park, playing on a Gameboy and watching episodes of Chips.

Scott said: “I actually made this tune years ago about Kew estate in Southport. But lately I have had loads of people asking me to share it.

“So i decided to put together a nostalgic video and post it to Spotify and iTunes!”
