Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service is seeking Fire Safety Inspectors, Fire Safety Auditors and Business Fire Safety Advisers.

Our Fire Protection Staff work with businesses, housing providers and other responsible individuals to ensure that legal responsibilities with regards to fire safety are met – and that premises are safe for those who use them.

Within the Protection Department there is a well-structured and supported development path through all our roles – and career progression is actively encouraged.

Fire Safety Inspectors:

Responsibilities include completing inspections of all regulated premises; investigating and reporting on breaches of fire safety legislation, and advising on fire safety issues relating to the construction, demolition and/or refurbishment of regulated premises.Contract: Permanent
Salary: £25,951-£27,668 per annum
Location: Merseyside

Fire Safety Auditors:
Duties include carrying out inspections on premises regulated by Merseyside Fire and Rescue Authority, supporting people who are responsible for fire safety and engaging with businesses to ensure that they comply with fire safety legislation.
Contract: Permanent
Salary: £23,398-£24,964 per annum
Location: Merseyside
Closing Date: midnight, Wednesday 23rd May
Interviews: 11th, 12th, 13th June

Fire Safety Advisers:
Responsibilities include visiting business premises through campaigns and planned visits, offering advice and educating those responsible for fire safety in regulated premises.
Contract: Permanent
Salary: £18,070-£20,138 per annum
Location: Merseyside
Closing Date: midnight, Wednesday 23rd May
Assessment Centres: 18th, 19th and 20th June
Interviews: 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th July
