Jimmy wages one boy war on litter in village

A Southport boy has won regional praise for giving up his free time to pick litter after school.

The young boy, nicknamed Jimmy, goes to a school in nearby Scarisbrick and each day after class will go into the village with his dad to pick rubbish.

A passer by has since filmed Jimmy litter picking and he has now gone viral.

They said: “When I found him and couldn’t help but record him doing his little bit for the world.

Needless to say he was not impressed with the amount of litter he found. It’s not headstrong Governments that have the answer to climate change to rescue our planet.

“It will be our children, providing we allow them.”
