Incredible theatre summer camp in Birkdale this August

Southport songbirds are getting an incredible chance to let their inner stage star shine through at a special musical theatre summer school.

Vocal coach Gabrielle Zanobini is holding a week-long summer camp in Birkdale this coming August which includes a series of professional workshops of drama, dance, singing and character building exercises.

The Summer School will take place from Monday 9th – Friday 13th August from 10am-4pm every day at Our Lady of Lourdes School in Birkdale.

The school will culminate with a live performance on the Friday evening on stage with lighting and sound production.

Gabrielle is a full-time professional musician having achieved BA First Class Honours in Music Theatre alongside years of experience appearing in productions such as Grease, Hairspray and Chicago.

Gabrielle is one half of piano/vocal duo Incahoots while working as a vocal coach at Stagecoach, Wilmslow and Arts Academy, Leigh where she teaches children aged 5-18 years and co produces musical theatre events.

Gabrielle said: “The week will have a Musical Theatre theme focussed on singing, dancing and drama with professional workshops from our passionate and dedicated tutors, including group singing, drama scenes, group dancing, monologues, comedy sketches, character building exercises, vocal guidance, interacting and making friends, improvisation workshops, solo vocal performances and so on!”

Tickets for the school cost just £100 for the week with sibling discount available.

The school is open for anyone between the ages of 6-18 years who has a passion for singing, dancing or drama.
