A charity boxing night is guaranteed to be a knockout success, raising vital cash for the Isla Rose Foundation.
The 4th Lights Out Boxing charity bash, hosted by Southport businessman Max Henshaw Jnr is one of the top charity events in the resort’s calendar, having previously raised thousands in aid of raising awareness for the Isla Rose foundation and Nonketotic Hyperglycinemia.
The condition is a rare genetic metabolic disorder that causes an accumulation of glycine in the body’s tissue and fluids. Can cause low muscle tone, lethargy, seizures and apnea.
Organiser Max Henshaw Jnr will host his fourth Lights Out boxing events and he says they are getting bigger and better each time.
He said: “Each event is getting bigger than the last and all being a major success.”
Taking place on April 16th from 4pm at the Waterfront Casino there will be 12 knockout bouts and 2 incredible Lights Out title fights, with Thai boxing world champion Jack Kennedy fighting against the reigning champion.
There will also be a charity auction in aid of the Isla Rose foundation and a four-hour after-party featuring four of the country’s best DJs
Lee Butler, Anton Powers, Ian Longo and Lee Bullock will all perform on the night.
Businesses can also sponsor a fight for £250.
