Over the weekends of January 11/12 and 18/19 2020, Network Rail will be carrying out significant engineering work that will impact Merseyrail Northern Line services. Supporters who are travelling to the Tottenham Hotspur (January 11) and Manchester United (January 19) matches using local rail services will be affected.
Saturday January 11
Rail replacement buses will be in operation between:
Kirkby-Liverpool Central
Aintree-Liverpool Central (trains will run between Aintree and Ormskirk)
Hunts Cross-Seaforth & Litherland via Liverpool city centre stations (trains will run between Seaforth & Litherland and Southport)
Important information for supporters travelling to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
Sunday January 12 and Saturday January 18
Rail replacement buses will be in operation between:
Kirkby-Liverpool Central
Aintree-Liverpool Central (trains will run between Ormskirk and Walton)
Hunts Cross-Seaforth & Litherland via Liverpool city centre stations (trains will run between Seaforth & Litherland and Southport)
Sunday 19 January
Rail replacement buses will be in operation between:
Liverpool Central-Sandhills
Hunts Cross-Sandhills
Please be advised that replacement bus services will be in operation calling at all stations, with Liverpool St George’s plateau as the key city-centre stop.
For fans travelling from South Liverpool and through Liverpool South Parkway, City Line services into Liverpool Lime Street will continue to operate and may offer a good alternative route. Additional rail replacement buses are scheduled to support those travelling to the match.
When travelling to the game during this period, we kindly ask you to:
Plan your journey in advance and check services before you travel
Allow plenty of time for your journey to and from Anfield
