Paramedics have taken the driver of a BMW after a crash on Lord Street, Sunday 11 February 2018.
An ambulance was called to The Edinburgh Woollen Mill after a car skidded on the icy surface and smashed into the back of a transit van.
According to an eye witness the driver of the BMW was taken to hospital suffering from shock.
It’s thought the icy surface and blanket of snow earlier in the evening contributed to the loss of control.
Police were informed but not required to attend.
