A Southport man has completed a gruelling double swim of the English Channel raising thousands of pounds for charity in the process.
Huw Morgans completed the epic voyage last week taking him 27 hours to swim from Dover to France and back.
He is one of just 67 people in the history of the world to complete this feat of nature.
Huw, who wants to raise £5000 for the Army Benevolent Fund, has only raised £1700 so far and residents across the resort are being encouraged to dive into their pockets and help support him.
