Hundreds of Southport residents have signed a petition asking for true government to revoke article 50.
890 Residents, less than 1% of the entire town’s population, have signed their name on a petition which has nationally gained nearly a million signatures asking the government to revoke article 50 and put a stop to Brexit.
Staunch tories in the town have told OTS off the record that they don’t expect the petition to hold ah weight and that most Southport residents are fully behind the proposals put forward by Theresa May.
