Hundreds of Lidl shoppers in Southport joined the queues to try and grab 6 Allini Prosecco for just £20.
The budget supermarket launched a deal on Prosecco last week but Southport was only given one pallet.
One shopper said: “I managed to get six bottles, however the majority left empty handed”.
A member of staff told OTS News customers will be able to buy a case of six of the retailer’s Allini Prosecco for just £20 – saving £11.50 off the normal price again on Sunday 27 August . Making it an absolute bargain at just £3.33 a bottle.
With a single bottle of Allini Prosecco usually priced at £5.79 at Lidl, shoppers will be quids in and can quaff glasses of fizz and soak up the last of the summer season over the long weekend.
The Prosecco has a rating of 85 out of 100 in Lidl’s own customer rating system, putting it in the ‘very good’ category, and has been described as “Very versatile, either on its own or with food. This has the clean, pear drop aromas characteristic of good Prosecco and is light, crisp and fresh on the palate. A little drier than some Proseccos and very moreish.” on Lidl’s website .
