Hundreds gathered at the Southport War Memorial for the annual Remembrance Day service.
Remembrance Sunday always falls on the second Sunday of November.
A two-minute silence was held to remember those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice for their country.
Members of the army, navy and air force were joined by the Mayor and civic guests at the service at Southport cenotaph
Wreaths were laid by a number of veterans as well as local community groups.
