Huge pothole ‘grounding out’ cars on busy road stretch

Council highways bosses have been warned of a mammoth pothole which has opened up on a busy rat run in Southport.

Cars are grounding out on the ever growing hole which has appears on Wennington Road in Southport near to Poulton Road

One concerned resident tweeted the council to say “there is a big hole on the corner of Wennington and Poulton.

“Vehicles are grounding over it.”

Sefton Council say they are treating the pothole as an emergency and have told their highways officers to look into fixing it.
