Firefighters were called to a fire at a property on Haig Avenue in Southport on Wednesday, February 2018.
Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service was called at 10.52pm and crews were alerted at 10.53pm. They were on the scene at 11.00pm.
Two fire engines attended the incident and crews, wearing breathing apparatus, used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.
The fire, which involved a chimney void, caused severe damage to the chimney void, insulation and joists. The heat also caused a water pipe to burst, leading to water damage. Other parts of the property sustained fire, heat and smoke damage.
Firefighters remained at the scene for around two hours and 45 minutes.
No-one was injured.
