Hotel bosses bashed for botched window tape fix

Tourism and safety bosses are fuming with the Scarisbrick Hotel after they tried to fix a shattered window with black duct tape.

The hideous looking window has not been replaced after a fight involving two men led to it being smashed up in the early hours of New Years Day.

Instead of paying to have it fixed, staff at the run down hotel have instead taped over the cracks and asked people not to lean on it.

There are fears the window could shatter at any point and the tape will not be strong enough to stop it from falling onto passing pedestrians.

Health and safety officials have visited managers at the hotel and warned they could face massive sanctions if the window is not fixed soon.
