Horror crash in 20mph zone leaves car on its roof

Paramedics have rushed to the scene of a horror smash on Park Avenue in Southport this morning, Monday 22 July 2019.

Two cars collided with one spinning out of control and landing on its roof following the collision just after 9am this morning.

Despite the road being a 20mph only zone police are now investigating if speeding is to blame for the cause of the crash.

Both drivers have been treated for shock and one has been taken to hospital for further treatment.

Witnesses are asked to call 101.
