Horrific six car crash outside Southport Primary School

A horrific six car smash has left emergency services dealing with a number of casualties on Everton Road, Southport.

The incident outside St Teresa’s Primary school has been described as ‘horrific’ by eye witnesses who heard a thundering metal crunch after a six car collision outside the Primary school this morning (Thursday 9 November 2017).

Emergency services are on scene and fire crews have had to use sand and dirty to mop up leaking oil to prevent a fire breaking out.

At least two of the six cars have been totally destroyed in the accident, leaving investigators baffled due to the 20mph speed limit on the road.

Police are investigating and paramedics are treating a number of drivers and passengers for their injuries.

It’s not yet known their current condition.
