Home Bargains Southport store to close ‘for months’ as part of retail park revamp

OTS News understands that bosses at Home Bargains are planning to close their Meols Cop Retail Park store for at least a month.

The temporary closure of the store is to enable them to  ‘knock through’ to the site next door which is currently occupied by Argos.

The works will create a Home Bargains superstore to rival the one on Formby Bypass.

Argos staff are busy winding down their operations at the standalone store ahead of them being merged with the new look Sainsbury’s megastore.

Late in 2023 bosses at the supermarket chain announced they are working towards opening their store in late February.
