The iconic former Ho Lee Chow restaurant in Southport has been sold at the eleventh hour to an unknown buyer.
Based on Rotten Row, the building was set to go up for auction and sold to the highest bidder in a few days time.
However an unknown investor has purchased the lease on the building before anyone else was given the chance.
Leased as a restaurant, the building’s owners say it could also be turned into a cafe or offices.
The property is situated exclusively on the edge of the famous Victoria Park, on Rotten Row and has been run as Ho Lee Chow’s Chinese restaurant for nearly 40 years.
