HM Coastguard Southport tasked to Crosby mud rescue
Today HM Coastgaurd Crosby team received their 125th tasking of the year, Wednesday 5 September.
The team were tasked at 12:35pm to two people stuck in the mud.
Once on scene the team worked along side HM Coastguard Southport Merseyside Fire & Rescue and RNLI Beach Lifeguards to free the casualties and bring them back to safety.
Once the casualties were rescued and brought to a safe area Northwest Ambulance Service arrived to check them over before the teams headed back to station to clean down.
