High Park closed off after major car blaze

A massive fire on Copeland industrial estate has been revealed to be a suspected electrical fire on a car.

Fire crews and emergency services rushed to the High Park based industrial estate just after 11am this morning after reports of a blaze breaking out.

Fire crews discovered a car fully ablaze near to Canning Road.

The fire was so ferocious that it set fire to nearby trees but the damage is thought to be superficial.

The car was mounted on a low loader at the time.

An investigation is underway.
