A Southport restaurant owner has been hailed for his kind hearted heroics after helping a man who had a diabetic episode outside his business.
Sarah Wade and her partner were walking down Princes street when her partner fell ill and collapsed outside Twelve restaurant.
Sarah said “We were walking down Princes Street in Southport when my partner, who is diabetic, fell to the floor.
I ran into ‘Twelve’ for assistance and I cannot thank Paulo (the owner) and his staff enough for the help they gave us.
I explained my partner was diabetic and he had collapsed outside and I asked for a can of coke which they gave to me – no questions asked.
The staff came out to help me and we were both given a chair to sit on.
Paulo waited with my partner whilst I collected my car and then stayed with me until my partner’s sugars stabilised.
We certainly will be paying them a visit soon to thank them all so very much. There are such lovely people around helping people in need and they deserve to be praised. Paulo and his staff were our heroes that night.”
