A Southport teenager is just £5000 and one thousand miles away from becoming an international rugby star.
17 year old Daniel Kirk needs to raise £5,000 to travel to Finland after he was scouted for the Finnish national rugby team.
The Southport Rugby club player will be the youngest player in the international side if he managed to raise the all important cash to make the dream trip.
Dan said “My mother is Finnish and I have been invited to attend Selection camps to train with the Finland team and play international Rugby for Finland next Spring.
“There are 4 training camps between now and April 2023 which I need to attend to secure a place in the squad for the match. 5 trips to Finland in all.
“I am only 17 years old and have to pay for my own travel, transfers etc to the team base in Finland together with other expenses for which I need help raising the money.
“As I’m turning 18 in late December and the first camp is in early January I will be the youngest player in the camps and on the team.”

I hope to raise approximately £1000 for each of 5 trips for flights , transfers, kit and camp , food and incidental costs.
This is an amazing opportunity for me to play international Rugby for the first time. I am very grateful for your donation no matter how much it is.
All funds will be used to fund my trips to Finland for training.
