A Southport man found himself nursing an extra sore head this morning after concerned good samaritans woke him from a nap in the middle of Lord Street.
The male was found fast asleep on the pavement outside the Bargain Booze store on the north end of Lord Street just after 7am.
One witness, who sent in the photo, said they didn’t want to help the male because of the Coronavirus.
He said “maybe that makes me a bad person but when I walked past he was snoring away and didn’t look in pain.
“You could smell the booze a mile off and there was no way I was getting any closer. I don’t know if he had the virus. I was about to call 999 and an ambulance but two other men passed by and got close enough to wake the man up. He rubbed his head and stumbled off again.”
