Volunteers behind an annual festive meal campaign are inviting people lonely at Christmas to join them for their seventh annual event.
David and Pam Nickson, who are holding the ‘Cherish Christmas’ meal from 1 to 5pm on December 25 at the Open Well Life Centre on West Park on Albert Road, are appealing for those who want to attend or know somebody who does, to get in touch before the cut-off date on Friday, December 7.
A £5 deposit is needed to secure the meal but this will be refunded after the event. Transport can also be provided if needed.
However, the offer only applies to people living within a 10-mile radius.
