Greens reveal election line up
The Green Party have unveiled their list of candidates for the forthcoming Sefton Council elections with an appeal for voters to “change everything”.
The Greens will stand in 17 wards on May 3rd.
Green Party co-ordinator Mike Carter, who is standing in Molyneux, where he is already an Aintree Village parish councillor, said: “Voting for the usual suspects changes nothing, but voting for a Green councillor would change everything.
“Local green councillors throughout the country have been at the forefront of working for communities wherever they are elected, whether it is protecting greenbelt land, parks, playgrounds and trees or standing on the front line against fracking and animal cruelty.
“You can be sure that other party candidates will simply toe the party line but a Green councillor – even just one – makes a massive difference to the communities they serve.”
The Green candidates standing for election on May 3rd are:
Barbara Dutton (Ainsdale), David Collins (Birkdale), Alison Gibbons (Blundellsands), Carla Fox (Cambridge), Laurence Rankin (Church), Nick Senior (Dukes), Roy Greason (Ford), Robert Doyle (Kew), Ben Carter (Linacre), Ethan Wykes (Litherland), Michael Walsh (Manor), Alwynne Cartmell (Meols), Mike Carter (Molyneux), Maureen Grainger (Netherton & Orrell), David McIntosh (Norwood), Marion Wykes (Sudell), Andrew Donegan (Victoria)
