Green fingered thief’s plan goes to pot

Police have been asked to investigate after a green fingered thief took full advantage of quiet evening streets in the resort to steal plants.

The woman who was out walking her dogs was caught on cctv footage stealing plants from outside a business on Hoghton Street in Southport The woman, thought to be in her forties wearing a beige cardigan and walking three pug dogs was spotted brazenly stealing a number of potted plants from the outside of a store.

A spokesperson for the businesses involved said:

“Some horrible woman actually stealing plants from outside the shop.

“With all the trouble in the world around us, some people think it’s ok to steal plants! This is going straight to the police with footage shot from inside our office.

“I know it’s only a plant but it’s the principle. Someone will know who this is.. walking her pugs around Southport”
