Great British Dog Walk at Formby Point (April 11)

Come along to the first ever Great British Dog Walk, organised by Hearing Dogs for Deaf People. Dogs are more than welcome ‘ but you don’t need one to join in the fun! The walks are 3Km and 8 Km. The walk has something for everyone with beautiful pine woodland, sand dunes and breath taking views across the beautiful beach.

If you’re lucky, you can spot the infamous red squirrel and see prehistoric footprints in the shifting sands made 7,000 years ago.
Awaken the senses with the sounds of the Chiff Chaff and Willow Warbler in full song, the smell of the Balsam Poplar in leaf, and the taste of the salty sea air. 11th April 11 am start.

Formby is a beautiful dog friendly beach with a range of wildlife including red squirrels. Prehistoric footprints have been found here and the coastline is simply stunning. Formby makes for the perfect backdrop for an energetic, or relaxed, walk.
