Good Samaritans have ran to the aid of an elderly man who fell ill at a bus stop on Lord Street West this afternoon.
The man, in his early 60s was waiting for the 47 bus when he collapsed and passers by rushed to his aid.
He was brought to his feet and refused an ambulance claiming he had taken a dizzy spell and felt better.
He was given medical attention by a qualified first aided but then opted to continue on his journey without waiting for the bus.
Eye witnesses say the man was shaken on his feet in the lead up to his collapse
