Christmas lights are being switched on in town centres across Sefton during the days ahead.
Events are taking place in Southport, Crosby, Churchtown, Seaforth, Waterloo, Formby and Birkdale with a range of festive fun for all the family.
The events are delivered through a partnership between business communities, local residents, voluntary and charity organisations, and Sefton Council.
Funding is secured through the private, voluntary and public sector to encourage people to shop local in the run up to Christmas.
Cllr Trish Hardy, Cabinet Member Communities and Housing, said: “Christmas lights switch-ons are always popular events and a chance for local people and families to get into the festive spirit.
“We are very grateful for the hard work and community spirit which goes into these important events and we hope plenty of people will come out and support their local traders in the run up to Christmas.”
