With the summer holidays in full swing, Sefton Council is urging families to get on their bikes and take on the ‘Sefton Circular’.
The cycle route encom- passes 24 miles around the Sefton coast and countryside, taking anything from three hours to half-a-day to com- plete.
When following this route, cyclists travel through pine woods, pass by Antony Gorm- ley’s Iron Men statues, take in the sights of the Leeds & Liverpool Canal and follow the former Cheshire Lines railway.
Cllr Ian Moncur, Sefton Council’s Cabinet Member for Health and Wellbeing, said: “We are incredibly lucky to have this fantastic asset in our borough.
“The Sefton Circular is a thoroughly enjoyable half day cycle ride suitable for all abil- ities to undertake at your own pace.
