Staff at a funeral directors in Southport are encouraging residents to help their memory tree to ‘grow’ as part of a campaign to raise awareness of baby loss and pregnancy loss.
Eleanor Woods said “i work at Co-op Funeralcare on Liverpool Road and we are raising awareness for pregnancy and infant loss.
“We are inviting people into our branch to leave messages or tie a ribbon to our memory tree, collect a candle to take part in the wave of light event and we are selling memory baubles with all proceeds going to lighthouses therapy services in Southport.
“Lighthouses therapy services provide help to families who have suffered a loss through 1-1 sessions, group sessions and counselling retreatsz
Staff will also be taking part in the national wave of light event on Thursday October 15th at 7pm where they will light a candle to honour those families who have suffered through this traumatic and upsetting situation.
