High schools and sixth form colleges in Southport are being invited to take part in free work- shops in acting and musical theatre.
The sessions are being delivered at schools and colleges throughout the region by Liverpool Theatre School.
Hundreds of pupils are set to benefit from the workshops, which form part of Liverpool Theatre School’s commitment to nurturing young talent and encouraging stars of the future.
Pupils can choose to attend either a session in musical theatre or acting, where they will learn the basic principles of each discipline.
During the workshops, budding young stars of the stage will also have an opportunity to put their ques- tions to experts from Liverpool Theatre School.
Maxine Ellis, Principal at Liverpool Theatre School, explains: “We are working with schools and sixth form colleges to offer two separate workshops; one in musical theatre and one in acting. Both offer a great introduction to anyone with an interest in pursuing a future in either of these fields.
“During the fun and interactive sessions, pupils can pick up tips and advice on how to turn their pas- sion for the stage into a career.
