Formby phone lines go down as BT struggle to return service

Businesses in the Formby and Ainsdale area say they are struggling to get their phones working after a nearby telephone junction became damaged overnight.

The issue has affected a number of businesses in the village centre as well as parts of Freshfield and Woodvale.

BT have been informed and say they are looking into the cause of the issue, which is causing intermittent phone blackouts and issues on landlines.

Those with fibre optic broadband should not be affected.
