A football mad Southport man is swapping balls for bikes when he does a bike ride from London to Amsterdam in June next year.
Matt Lawrenson needs to fundraise a £1000 so he can cycle to challenge in order to raise more funds for Prostate Cancer UK
Matt said: “I’m taking part in Football to Amsterdam, a two day, 145-mile pedal pilgrimage to the Dutch capital backed by the EFL and the League Managers Association. Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men. It’s a disease which kills one man every 45 minutes – that’s two men during a football match. This is simply not acceptable but Prostate Cancer UK know that with your help we can turn it around. Time is against us but now is the time to take action, to make this a disease the next generation need not fear.”
