Food lovers rejoice as cake shop prepares to launch

High-end bakery and continental cake shop Patisserie Valerie opened a new store in Southport on Tuesday 22nd August 2017.

Patisserie Valerie which currently operates over 145 cafes throughout the UK and the Republic of Ireland has opened a new store in the sea-side town of Southport. The new café is located on Lord Street and has created approximately 20 jobs.

The new Southport store will serve a selection of hot food as well as Patisserie Valerie’s popular range of delicious, lovingly handmade gateaux and patisserie. Whilst customers sit down to enjoy these scrumptious savoury and sweet treats, they will be able to indulge in handcrafted coffee made by trained baristas, and also a range of loose leaf teas.

Customers will also be able to enjoy the brand’s take on the classic Afternoon Tea, which includes a selection of finger sandwiches, mini cakes, mini patisserie bites and scones served with clotted cream and jam.

The new store will also be a place to order and collect celebration cakes perfect for birthdays, anniversaries and parties, as well as wedding cakes. Customers can choose from Valerie’s signature range of gateaux and wedding cakes or use the company’s interactive create-a-cake tool. Patisserie Valerie also offers a bespoke cake service for birthday, wedding and other special occasion cakes which can be discussed with

a member of staff in store.
