Fly tippers strike again as mattresses pile up

Piles of fly tipped rubbish is massing on a Southport street causing a major pest problem.

Inconsiderate fly tippers who don’t want to wait two hours at Southport tip have dumped tons of rubbish including sofas and mattresses on Hawesside Street in Southport.

The council have been informed but can’t take the rubbish away due to a backlog.

A mother and young baby were forced to walk into the road earlier after being unable to pass due to the massing rubbish.
