Fire involving trees and logs, Formby Pinewoods

Firefighters were called to Formby Pinewoods on Monday 1st June following reports of a fire.

Crews were called to the woods at around 6.30am. One fire engine attended as well as one of the Service’s 4×4 vehicles.

On arrival crews found two fires. Firefighters used a high pressure hose reel to extinguish the first fire, and a low pressure hose reel to extinguish the second, which involved a quantity of trees and logs measuring approximately 3m x 2m.

Crews left the scene at 7.19am.
