Fire crews tackle house blaze, Fylde Road

Fire crews have been called to a major house fire in Marshside tonight in which a family were forced to flea for their lives.

Fire crews from Southport station have been on scene at Fylde Road since late this evening after an emergency 999 call.

Police and ambulance crews have also responded with a number of people being treated at the scene for smoke related issues.

Police have closed off the road to allow fire crews to carry out dampening down procedures
