Clinical commissioning groups (CCGs) in Sefton have announced new dates for their first governing body meetings of 2018. NHS South Sefton CCG will now hold its first meeting on Thursday 1 February instead of 4 January. The first NHS Southport and Formby CCG meeting will take place the following week on Wednesday 7 February instead of 3 January.
Members of the public are encouraged to come along to the meetings so they can listen to doctors, nurses and other health professionals discussing the performance of local health services, such as hospitals and community care. There is also an opportunity to ask questions before the formal meeting begins.
Dr Andy Mimnagh, local GP and NHS South Sefton CCG chair, said: “These meetings are a really good opportunity for people interested in health care to come along and learn more about what’s happening in their local area.”
Dr Rob Caudwell, local GP and NHS Southport and Formby CCG chair, said: “We always enjoy meeting new people who take an interest in our local NHS and would encourage anyone who is interested to come along.”
