Fears over tree felling in Altcar Lane Formby

17th October 2019

Residents of Altcar Lane in Formby are deeply concerned about the environmental impact of proposals to build new homes opposite their houses.

There is allegedly a row of ancient trees and hedges lining the edge of this land directly in front of their homes. Residents claim that with only hours’ notice they have just told that the trees will be felled first thing tomorrow morning.

Residents believe that this short shrift action by developers has been initiated to avoid expected public protests.

Householders say that legally – protected bats also use these trees all throughout the summer too.
