A Southport fishmonger has closed its doors for the final time after serving the town for more than 44 years.
The decision to close Wesley Fishmongers on Tulketh Street was made after long serving head fishmonger Terry Cockwill chose to retire.
A statement said It is with great sadness after 26 years of service Terry has decided to part with the company, his last day will be Saturday 22 October.
I’m sure you will be with me on this and wish Terry and his family all the best for the future. He will be sadly missed.
Due to this we have decided that we are going to close the shop.
We will however still be operating from our sister company who has supplied Wesley fish for over 44 years.
