Hordes of teenagers dressed in suits ‘ruined a cinema trip and left children in tears’ as part of a crazy social media trend.
The latest craze, started on social media app TikTok encourages teenagers up to 18 to dress in smart attire before gatecrashing a children’s movie that has just been released.
During the screenings of Minions: Rise of Gru teens are encouraged to disrupt in any way the film being shown.
A Southport man says his family trip to Vue Southport on Ocean Pmaca was ruined by shouting, items being thrown across the cinema and unruly youngsters.
He went on to criticise a lack of effort by staff to stop the disruption.
He said “I have just returned from Vue Southport with my wife and 2 sons.
“Hardly heard any of the new minions film due to unruly teenagers behind us shouting all the way through the film and throwing things.
“Sons first cinema experience was completely ruined. No staff intervention, it was poor.”
He’s one of thousands of outraged parents, many who have paid more than £50 to take their children to the cinema, who have now blasted movie bosses for backing the TikTok trend that has left children in tears.
Videos across social media show suit-wearing teens wreck theatres, throw food and abuse staff at screenings of Minions: The Rise Of Gru.
