A much loved owner of Ainsdale restaurant Dolce Vita, Mario Cardillo-Stagno has sadly passed away.
His family restaurant facebook page said:
It is with great sadness that we are writing this message, but Mario was known and loved by so many and this is the easiest way for us to let all of our customers know.
Yesterday morning, he passed away peacefully in his sleep with his family beside him, after a long and incredibly brave battle with cancer.
He was a truly special man who has left behind unforgettable memories with all who were lucky enough to know him.
Business will continue as usual, as we continue to work hard as he would have wanted us to.
We thank you all for your continued support.
