Police suspect professional car thieves have struck in Southport after a victim had his brand new motor stolen from a Supermarket car park this week.
Witnesses are being sought to track down a grey Ford with the registration HV66 0DA after it was swiped from Morrisons supermarket car park yesterday sometime between 8am and 3pm.
Police believe the thieves may have cased the area and had their eye on the target for a number of days before making off with the car.
The grey Ford, with a baby seat in the rear passenger side of the car, was bought only three weeks ago by the now devastated owner.
Residents in the area have been asked to keep an eye out for the car and if spotted, to call 999 immediately.
