Good causes across Sefton are set to benefit from a local charity’s upcoming bingo event with a difference.
Sefton 4 Good is staging its first-ever Comedy Bingo Night fun fundraiser at Crosby Comrades Club on Crosby Road North on Friday 10th November, with doors opening at 7.30pm and eyes down at 8.30pm.
The evening will be hosted by popular Merseyside comedian Brendan Riley, so plenty of laughs are promised, as well as the opportunity for people to win top prizes if they are skilful enough with the dabber.
Brendan Riley is much in demand as both a stand-up comic and compere, and has been hailed by critics as ‘incredibly refreshing’ and ‘irreverent, inventive and most importantly hilarious’.
He is well known to Sefton audiences as Director of the successful Southport Comedy Festival,
Sefton 4 Good was established by Sefton CVS in 2013 to make it easier for borough residents and businesses to support local good causes by giving their money, resources, time and skills.
Money raised is distributed via a grant scheme which is particularly aimed at smaller organisations, or collaborative projects that include small groups.
Commenting on the Comedy Bingo Night, Mike Howlett of Sefton CVS said: “This is a completely new venture for us, but we think we’re on to a winner with this unique blend of comedy and competition.
“We’re hoping for a very good turnout on the night of people keen to have fun and to raise money for some very worthy causes at the same time.”
Tickets for the event are priced at £10 inclusive of bingo cards. For more details and bookings ring 0151 920 0726, email info@sefton4good.org.uk or visit the charity’s website, www.sefton4good.org.uk.
