Mighty Radio will launch on 107.9 Fm across the Southport coast on Monday 1st April from 8am!

Mighty Radio has been awarded a community licence by Ofcom to provide an FM station for Southport and its surrounding areas.

The directors of Mighty Radio would firstly like to thank everyone for their hard work since the inception of Mighty Radio, not just in presenting but production.

Dave Quinn & Trevor Ford have said that the technology, research and keeping the dream alive, it’s thanks to everyone who have tuned in online and have supported Mighty Radio.

We have had tremendous support from local business and since the award became public the interest has gone through the roof, being on FM allows us to reach the people in the heart of Southport at home, in their cars, and in local businesses.

We are pleased to announce we have forged great relationships with many community businesses and charities including Southport YMCA, Anthony James Estate Agents and other businesses who have offered valued support.

Mighty Radio will launch from it’s new studio’s at Charlotte House on Hoghton Street. Mighty Radio is looking for new sponsors, partners and businesses to be part of the voice of Southport. Mighty will be increasing the team from presenters, producers, administration staff so anyone interested can now email their interest to: getinvolved@mightyradio.co.uk

Might Radio will bring you local events, local sport from England’s classic resort, plus letting you all know what’s happening in the news and sport across the globe. Mighty will be local, valued, respected and used, there will be the usual specialist shows that you have all grown to love and support.
