The National Tralust Formby has made great progress with improvements to the main access path from the Lifeboat Road car park to the boardwalk.
A spokesperson for the trust Said “Please bear with us whilst we’re carrying out this essential maintenance work.
The work should be completed by 9 February but until then the path from bays one and two of the beach car park will be closed. All other routes to the boardwalk are open.
We’re aiming to improve access to the beach, particularly for buggies and wheelchair users. Creating a more clearly defined and solid path can also help reduce unnecessary trampling of the surrounding areas and help guide you through this special place.
Here’s one of our rangers taking delivery of 100t of stone, which will help create a better foundation for the path.”
