Sefton Council will be carrying out essential maintenance work on Southport Pier, starting on Tuesday 1 September. The works, which are expected to last around one month, will involve timber repairs and painting as well as scaffolding under the Pier.
The works have been scheduled for September to avoid clashing with the busy peak summer months.
The public will be able to access both the Pier and the beach at all times and the concessions on the Pier will be open for business as usual during the works.
