Emergency services rush to Hawkshead Street

Emergency services are currently on scene at a suspected risk to human life situation on Hawkshead Street.

Fire crews, paramedics and police have closed off part of Hawkshead Street around the bridge after emergency calls reported that a man was attempting to take his own life this evening.

Crews were called shortly after 10pm following the alarm being raised and are currently still on scene.

OTS has contacted Merseyside Police for comment and an update is expected shortly.
