Emergency services on scene at Lord St incident

Traffic on Lord Street ground to a halt this last hour after good samaritans rushed to the aid of an elderly man who collapsed in the road.

Emergency services were called after passers by gave vital first aid and shade to an elderly man after he reportedly collapsed in the road infront of oncoming traffic.

Police and ambulance crews remain on scene.

The incident occured at approximately 12.30.

Drivers are encouraged to avoid the area if possible until the road is reopened.
